By using The File Share Place, you agree to these terms and the full End User License Agreement (EULA)

Acceptable Use

You may use The File Share Place only for lawful purposes. You agree not to upload, share, or transmit any content that:

• Is illegal under applicable law
• Infringes any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right
• Contains malware, ransomware, or other malicious code
• Constitutes unsolicited commercial communication (spam)
• Exploits or harms minors in any way

Your Content

Files you transfer using this service are stored either in your own S3-compatible storage bucket or in the Community Bucket. You are solely responsible for the content you upload and share. I do not monitor, review, or take ownership of your files.

Community Bucket

The Community Bucket is a shared storage resource funded by voluntary donations. Each send using the Community Bucket is granted a unique credential scoped to a dedicated subfolder for that send only — no send can access another user's files, even on shared infrastructure. Use of the Community Bucket is a privilege, not a right. I reserve the right to limit or revoke access at any time, including for misuse or depletion of the balance.

Donations

Donations are voluntary and non-refundable. 50% of each donation is allocated to the Community Bucket balance; the remainder supports hosting and development costs. Donations do not create any entitlement to continued service, specific features, or guaranteed bucket availability.

No Warranty

The File Share Place is provided "as is." While I am committed to following security best practices — including encrypting all stored credentials, deleting data as soon as it is no longer needed, and scoping access to the minimum required permissions — I cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, data integrity, or fitness for any particular purpose. I will always do my best to protect your data and keep the service running reliably. Use the service at your own risk.

Downloaded Content

The File Share Place does not scan, verify, moderate, or take any responsibility for the content of files transferred through the service. Files are transmitted directly between the sender's storage and the recipient's device without inspection. Recipients download files entirely at their own risk. Any damage to systems, data, devices, or third parties resulting from files downloaded through this service is the sole responsibility of the sender and/or recipient. If you were not expecting a file transfer, do not download the files.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The File Share Place and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data or files, or any damage caused by files downloaded through the service.

Changes to These Terms

I may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
